Hilary took this picture back in November (see A New Place to Work) She sent it to me this week saying “I wonder if it’s a timely moment to sent this - as you build up to the big day! That’s you and you’ve done it!!!!"“ xxx
Looking back at this photograph, I think she had just asked me “so what’s the plan” and I had replied like this!
I am not going to lie to you, this week has been one of ups and downs, mainly as I picked my way through the technology. Google told that the podcast manager account I was trying to access has been claimed by someone else….YES ME! I’ve done several live chats as I try to unravel what can be scheduled when and how best to do it so there is technical support on hand if there’s a problem.
I have also been grappling with transcripts - I found a free service where you send your audio and 3 mins later out comes a transcript. AI is amazing however I don’t think it has quite got to grips with Latin yet… Below are some examples of what came out for the peony programme.
Well also she may have inherited the plants in the garden the same because the peanut fish in our house, root, or pleniple any of fish in ours. And peonies were interpreted in many ways: herbaceous peanuts, tree peanuts, penny, P&E and peony efficient eyes!
Several hours later and after conversations with Charlotte who had also tackled one of the transcripts for me, we made a decision; that the key bits of information, the plants that have been named in the podcast and the advice on how to grow the named plant, will sit in an episode page. I’ll look forward to hearing if you find that information useful.
You may have spotted that if you follow or subscribe to this blog, then you have received your email on FRIDAY and not the usual Sunday! Well in the midst of my ‘live chats’ this week, I decided that it would be better to publish on a weekday when I can get assistance if there are any problems. I think going forward it is a good day to publish a podcast and a blog so everyone has the weekend ahead to read, listen and garden. At this point I would like to give a shout out with thanks, to my sister and her team at Choices and especially Kath - who always said it should be on a Friday! They read the early drafts of the blogs and have fed back on the pilot podcasts. As you can see this is already an Our Plant Stories community.
So I do hope you enjoy the first episode.
If you enjoy this podcast please do share it with your friends so we can grow Our Plant Stories community. Next week Our Plant Story features Passionflowers or Passiflora.
